Guanyin are also called Kwan yin, Kuan yin or Pinyin in Chinese. The correct pronunciation is with an “e” at the end: Güanine.

This goddess is often represented with feminine features in East and Southeast Asia. In India, it can appear in the male form.

This Buddhist statue of Guanyin is cast like the bronzes in disposable clay molds. The finishing is entirely handmade as well as the gilding with gold leaf.
