Snow Chrysanthemum tea, a rare and refined flower tea.

The flower of Coreopsis Tinctoria is also called Snow Chrysanthemum. It grows naturally on the north face of the KaLa KunLun Shan mountain. This Natural Chrysanthemum, has chosen to bloom in the coldest part of the mountain at an altitude of between 3,200 and 3,800 meters. It is a species of herbaceous wild flower.

This Chrysanthemum of KaLa KunLun Shan, is harvested in an area smaller than 1000 hectares. Among all kinds of chrysanthemums, it is the most sought-after and valuable. This species is wild, rare and grows in a pure natural environment, without pollution.

It is picked by hand by the inhabitants of the mountains. Its infusion is bright red and is close to the color of Pu-erh tea. Its smell is very pleasant to the nose and to the aspiration.

The benefits of the snow chrysanthemum.

Research has shown that chrysanthemum is very rich in vitamin A, which is good for health, the optic nerve and dark circles around the eyes. Chrysanthemum has also been used for a long time in traditional Chinese medicine. It is prescribed in the famous Chinese herbal book, Ben Chao Gang Mu, as being good for helping to relieve swelling and pain, skin rashes and cooling the liver.

There is a famous Chinese saying, “qing gan ming mu”, which translates as “clean your liver and you will see better”. The Chinese believe that removing the inflammation from your liver will make your eyesight better.

The refreshing chrysanthemum teas of Kunlun, eliminate inflammation. They are also considered very good for the respiratory system and allergy relief.

Snow Chrysanthemum tea is used to improve the quality of sleep and to relax. The high levels of amino acids in this variety of chrysanthemum make it a particularly good tea for soothing and calming.

Preparation of snow chrysanthemum tea.

Bring water to a boil in a cast iron teapot (preferably). Rinse and heat the teacup and teapot with boiling water. Then put 2 teaspoons of chrysanthemum in a glass teapot (preferably) for 500 ml of water.

For the first and second brews, steep for 3 to 4 minutes with the lid on in hot water at 90 to 95 degrees. It is possible to make a third or even a fourth infusion by gradually increasing the soaking time and the water temperature.
