Organic flowers, naturally grown.
Our flowers always come from the latest harvest to preserve their antioxidant properties at the highest level. It is a plant from the Fabaceae family which tends to be invasive and requires no treatment.
The price of the flowers is justified by the many manual operations such as picking, cleaning, drying (in the sun), sorting, etc.
We work closely with 2 family farms in northern Thailand. Both cultivate Clitoria Ternatea in a traditional and organic way. None of our farms can provide organic certificates, but their cultivation is done without any pesticides, fertilizers, or chemicals.
Uses and benefits of butterfly pea flower.
The butterfly pea flower can be consumed as tea or as a natural blue dye. Its benefits come from its concentration of antioxidants and vitamins. The anthocyanin molecule gives it this distinctive color.
The dosage is 3 to 5 flowers per mug or 10 to 20 flowers per liter of hot water. It can be consumed hot or cold.
You will observe interesting color changes (purple and pink) when the natural blue pigments come into contact with acidity such as lemon (for example).
