From its Latin name“Lavandula Angustifolia“, the lavender is picked by hand. It is harvested at the beginning of natural flowering. Only the flowers and buds are taken, because they are the parts richest in active molecules of lavender.
The benefits of Lavender Infusions.
Widely used in Aromatherapy, lavender can be consumed in herbal tea or infusion.
Known for its antidepressant qualities, lavender calms and improves sleep quality considerably. It is also a decongestant herbal tea for the respiratory tract.
You can consume up to 4 cups of lavender per day.

How to prepare the lavender in infusion?
Measure 2 tablespoons of lavender buds for each cup of boiling liquid (usually water or milk). Do not boil the lavender flowers. It is advisable to put the lavender just after boiling and when the pan is taken out of the fire.
Leave to infuse for 30 minutes. Filter the liquid and consume warm with or without honey.
Lavender infusion with water can be used to flavor lemonade, iced tea, cakes, cookies and sorbets.
An infusion of lavender milk or cream can be used to make lavender crème brûlée, lavender ice cream, lavender cheesecake, lavender cookies, etc.
Other uses of the lavender flower bud.
Lavender has always been used in Provence to perfume the linen. Simply hang a small cotton pouch with lavender in your closet.
A few lavender flowers in a paper envelope slipped into the piles of laundry can also be a valuable ally in preventing moths and scenting your laundry.
Be careful not to put lavender in direct contact with the linen, because the flowers are very coloring.
You can also slip a few lavender flower buds into your pillowcase to help you fall asleep and improve your sleep.
Lavender infusion can be used to slow down hair loss. It is also good for limiting dandruff. Lavender is also a good lice repellent.
Side effects and adverse events.
Side effects are rare with Lavender, but like any active molecule, it is possible that in case of safe use, allergic reaction or drug interaction, side effects may appear. These effects can be vomiting, dizziness, headaches, chills, etc. In this case stop immediately and seek medical advice.
