Lapsang Souchong Tea, smoked mountain Chinese tea.
It is one of the oldest black teas from China. It is made using the fourth and fifth leaves of the tree (counting from the bud). It is dried with smoke from pine needles and wood.
Lapsang Souchong, a story over 400 years old.
Its origin comes from the need to dry tea quickly. This method is safe and inexpensive for its tea enhancement. Indirectly, it resulted in an exquisite smoked tea, however more appreciated in Europe than in China.
How to prepare Lapsang Souchong Tea.
Its preparation is simple and identical to that of other black teas (3 grams for 2-3 minutes at 95ºC). It is perfect for breakfast as it pairs wonderfully with natural and plant-based milk.
