The art of Tibetan cloisonne.
It is a long process that requires many manufacturing steps. At first, the Tibetan craftsman must hammer the copper to give the shape of the cloisonné.
Then comes the second step which consists in soldering a copper wire to delimit the different colors and designs. It is a real goldsmith’s work which requires real artistic qualities.
Then comes the filling and the cooking. The spaces previously created and delimited by the copper partitions, are filled with colored enamel. The cooking of will be done in several times and the filling will be repeated until completely filling the interstices.
Finally, come the polishing and retouching that will finish giving the cloisonne their final appearance.
